The Work Ethic Assignment was able to calculate your dependability score, interpersonal score, and initiative score out of seven based on fifty questions asking about personality traits and if you possessed those qualities. The scores were based off of 1133 people who worked in 158 businesses which included a variety of companies and businesses. This allowed for many businesses to provide accurate feedback based on a large collection of data. The three traits that you were scored on are all qualities that can make a quality worker in the workforce. All three scores need to be of quality for a worker due to the fact that when applying for a competitive position, it is necessary to stand out and make an impact as an employee.
-Your interpersonal score is 6.12 out of 7
-Your initiative score is 5.56 out of 7
-Your dependability total is 6.00 out of 7
In terms of my scores posted above, I am able to see that there needs to be improvement in these important qualities in order to be an effective and efficient employee. These three qualities are able to distinguish if an employee is going to be valuable to the company or not, and in order to maximize my efforts, changes must be made. My interpersonal score can be improved by making sure that I interact so that I am able to retain instructions so that I am able to accomplish the task at hand with ease. My lowest score which was my initiative score can be improved by surrounding myself with people that do take initiative and get the job done. This will allow for me to grow and develop to make sure I am taking action when I am not asked to do so. Lastly, my dependability needs to improve so that I am able to be a trustworthy, host employee. This can maybe improve if I go above and beyond in an instructed project in order for my mentor to understand that I can be reliable and an option for any needs. This could be me remembering to vacuum before I leave everyday for him to see that I am giving 100%.
