Assignment 13: Partner in Your Education

In regards to your internship site, explain how you feel they are a “partner in your education”.

-I would view a “partner in your education”as a way to guide your learning through documentation. In a way I believe that the website has allowed for us to journal our learning progress and be able to look back on how we started. It is a way to view the progress that one has made through the process of the internsip to guide me in ensuring that I focus on my goals when working.

What goals have you met so far? Have you changed any of your goals?

- A goal that I have met in my internship is the ability to expand my understanding of different sports and exercises. I have now been able to work with a kid who wishes to learn more about boxing. In his desires, it has forced me to learn about the sport by myself and has expanded my knowledge on the proper form that is needed as well as learning about a sport that I did not have a strong understanding on prior. I believe that my goals have stayed consistent in still having a desire to learn about new sports and new exercises that will assist in an athlete's development.

What have you done that has made your supervisor’s life easier?

-I have made my supervisor's life easier by providing assistance and energy in the gym when needed. My supervisor works long hours, and when I am able to run a class and take the pressure off of him, it is very beneficial and helpful. I feel as though I also have been able to be a younger more relatable coach in terms of the athletes that I am training being close in age. I believe that this is important in motivating for participation.
